Some more of Issabella's wonderful photographs to play with!!!

Lichfield Cathedral: Perspective correction in Hugin, then a slight crop, but in order to keep the width I used Heal Transparency and some cloning and healing. (Don't look too closely at the left side!)
Selected the cathedral, colour boost and Colours/Curves. The remainder I darkened a little. A very small amount of sharpening using Wavelet Decompose.

One of the photographs of an English garden.
Gentle treatment. "Tweaked" with Luminosity Masks to emphasise the blue of the sky and whiten the clouds, lighten the darkest parts (particularly the stone wall).
Channel Mixer - increased Red in Red Channel (with corresponding reduction of Blue and Green components) to bring out the colour of the brick wall.
Slight sharpening (Wavelet Decompose - duplicate layer2).

David, beautiful job on the pics. I see how nicely you have become the very dark parts into clearer and better. The colours are brighter, too. I like them. Thanks.

Stunning result on gargoyle_1.jpg David, how did you achieve this please?

@RJKD

Gargoyle_1: all very simple!
I made a selection of the gargoyle and the plinth on a duplicate layer. Shrunk the selection by 1px and feathered by 1px. inverted the selection, added an Alpha Channel and cleared. The base layer I reduced contrast & brightness and blurred. The top layer (the gargoyle) I played with Curves and sharpened with Wavelet Decompose.
