I see many banners design where it takes up space where logos should be.
So I decided to disable logos for now so that the banners would look nice. They still are covered by search boxes though.

Update: there I turned it on for logged in members.
With new users we'll let them see the whole banner and not distract them with rotating logos.

If space is a concern, you could put the logo and search bars below the banner as many sites do, and do away with the Popular and Unpopular items. I don't know about the other members, but I never look at that, or even think about it for that matter. It just depends on what you really want.

As Pat says it depends on what you want, however I also never ever use popular/ unpopular search function.
